Who would have thought that a show about vampires could lead to such a beautiful real-life love story? When Anna Paquin, now 36, met Stephen Moyer, 49, on the set of True Blood, neither of them could have imagined that their on-screen chemistry would blossom into an enduring marriage. Fast forward to today, and the couple has been together for eight years, sharing not only a life filled with love but also raising their adorable 6-year-old twins, Charlie and Poppy. And if that wasn’t enough, they’ve even taken their partnership to the next level with exciting joint projects.
Collaboration is Their Happy Place
Speaking exclusively to Closer Weekly during the TCA Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California, Anna opened up about her thriving partnership with Stephen. “We’re very, very, very comfortable and happy working together,” she shared with a warm smile. “It’s honestly our happy place. It’s how we met, it’s how we fell in love, and now it’s how we continue to grow together.” The couple recently flexed their creative muscles as executive producers of the hit series Flack, which premiered on February 21, 2019, on Pop TV. In the show, Anna stars as a crisis PR strategist, bringing her A-game to the screen while Stephen works tirelessly behind the scenes.

Balance Between Work and Family Life
When it comes to juggling her demanding career and family life, Anna has found her own rhythm. “I don’t need much sleep, so I can actually executive produce and star in a TV show while still spending enough time with my kids that they don’t despise me,” she joked. Despite the challenges, Anna emphasizes the importance of keeping her children away from the spotlight. “You won’t find any pictures of my children,” she revealed during an appearance on Today. This decision wasn’t made lightly—it’s something Anna and Stephen have discussed and agreed upon as a team. “That’s a choice we made very specifically… I want the right to say that they’re not fair game,” she explained passionately.

Respecting Privacy in the Public Eye
Anna understands the complexities of living in the public eye, especially when it comes to her family. “Everyone chooses what works for their family. There are aspects of one’s private life that are fun and cute and not too revealing. And then there’s stuff where you’re making decisions for people who don’t have a say yet about whether they want to be in the public eye,” she reflected thoughtfully. Growing up in the spotlight herself, Anna knows firsthand how overwhelming it can be. “I’ve always been very private. I’m not as neurotic about it as I was when I was younger, but I still don’t want people to know too much about my real, inner private life. Part of that comes from being a teenager and feeling constantly, brutally self-conscious while having a job where that was part of it,” she admitted.
