Kate Hudson Shares Her Excitement for More Children

Here’s the deal: Kate Hudson is still dreaming big when it comes to her family. In a recent conversation on the Today show, the 39-year-old actress revealed that even though she recently welcomed her first baby, daughter Rani Rose, with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa last October, her plans don’t stop there. She’s thinking about adding a few more kids to the mix with Danny, who’s 32. That’s right—Kate’s not slowing down anytime soon.

During her appearance on the Today show on January 10, Kate opened up about her long-standing vision for her family. “I always thought I’d have four to six kids,” she shared with a smile. “This idea has been in my head since I was a little girl. When you grow up in a big family, you either think, ‘Nope, kids aren’t for me,’ or you go all in and decide you want a whole crew. For me, it was always about having more,” she added with a laugh.

Went a little crazy on the holiday outfit but let’s be honest…I did grow up watching @bobmackie design for my mother so I have a bit of an affinity for the embellished and sequined 💃 #RaniThreeMonth 🌹

    Danny Fujikawa Changed the Game

For Kate, meeting Danny Fujikawa in 2017 was a game-changer. “There was a time when I thought, ‘Maybe I’m done,’ but then Danny came into my life, and I was like, ‘Alright, let’s make this happen for him,’” she admitted. “He makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, and I just want to make him happy. Plus, he really needs a boy. He needs his own little guy,” she joked, adding that she’s ready to give Danny the family he deserves.

With every child she’s welcomed, Kate has found herself growing as a parent. “Every new baby teaches me something new about myself and how to be a better parent,” she reflected. “I’m definitely more responsible now than I was when I started. And let’s be honest, I’m not messing up Rani as much as I messed up Ryder,” she quipped, drawing laughter from the audience.

Post Turkey Day my son comes into our bedroom, takes his sister in his arms and spent some solid early morning time loving her. I watched thinking… I’m Thankful for love. Unconditional love and that my children embody what it is when one feels loved. ❤️ Let’s all have an entire year where we stay grateful. Keep this party going 🙂 @mr.ryderrobinson #Rani🌹

Kate’s journey as a mom has been anything but predictable. Her oldest child, Ryder Robinson, 15, came into her life with ex-husband Chris Robinson. A few years later, she welcomed Bingham Bellamy, 7, with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy. Now, with Danny by her side, she’s diving headfirst into a new chapter. “Motherhood is such a wild ride,” she said. “Every kid is different, and every stage is a learning experience. Honestly, it’s like being a scientist—trial and error. The first kid is your guinea pig, and you just keep improving from there,” she joked.
