Simon Cowell’s Young Prodigy: Eric’s Big Plans for the Future
Let me tell you something, folks—Simon Cowell isn’t just grooming judges for "America's Got Talent." He’s grooming his very own son, Eric, to take the reins. During a recent interview on Extra, Simon sat down with his ex-girlfriend (yeah, it must’ve been a little awkward) to talk about the upcoming season of AGT. In the chat, Simon revealed that his 4-year-old son is already asking for a job on the show.
Now, here’s the kicker: little Eric asked his dad, “Daddy, when I’m older, can I work on ‘AGT’?” Simon, who’s nothing if not confident in his offspring, replied, “No, you will be running ‘AGT’ by the age of 18.” And guess what? Eric seemed totally okay with the idea. That’s right, folks, this kid is ready to step into some pretty big shoes.
It’s Not the First Time Simon’s Talked About This
Simon’s not shy about his plans for Eric. Just last month, during an appearance on the UK morning show This Morning, Simon opened up to host Lizzie Cundy about his ambitions for his son. “He’s in training as you will see over the weekend,” Simon said. “I’m getting him ready to do my job.” Can you believe that? Eric’s already in training at the ripe old age of four. That’s dedication right there.

Now, Simon’s job comes with quite the paycheck, so we’re sure Eric will appreciate the financial security when he grows up. But seriously, this isn’t just about the money—it’s about carrying on a legacy. Simon’s built an empire in the entertainment world, and he clearly wants Eric to continue that tradition.

Simon’s Love Life and Family Plans
Simon and his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, welcomed Eric in 2014, not long after they started dating in 2013. Before Lauren, Simon had two highly publicized relationships. First, there was Terri, which lasted from 2002 to 2008, followed by a relationship with makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy. Simon was even engaged to Mezhgan from 2010 to 2011, but that didn’t work out.
Now, Lauren seems to be the one. Earlier this year, an insider told Closer that Lauren is all about expanding their family. “Lauren wants another baby,” the source said. “But Simon is happy with just one. He’s very conscious that he’s getting older, so whether Lauren can wear him down, who knows?”
For now, it seems like little Eric will be running the family business all by himself. Talk about pressure, huh?
