Alfonso Ribeiro's Day at Work is a Laughing Matter
Let me tell you, for Alfonso Ribeiro, heading to the set of America’s Funniest Home Videos is like walking into a comedy club. The man is surrounded by nonstop hilarity, and there’s one particular type of clip that never fails to crack him up. “Epic fails — those are the ones that really get me going,” he revealed exclusively to Closer Weekly in a recent interview. “Last year, one of our $100,000 winners was this absolutely ridiculous video of two brothers on a slingshot ride. The older brother ends up screaming his head off and fainting a couple of times. It was pure comedy gold,” Alfonso said with a chuckle.

His Journey with 'AFV'
Back in 2015, Alfonso took over the reins of America’s Funniest Home Videos, succeeding the beloved Tom Bergeron. “This show has been an absolute dream for me,” he shared. “Every day I go to work, I’m laughing my head off. It’s one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. And the best part? My kids are into it too. I’ve got a four-year-old and a two-year-old, and they absolutely adore watching the videos with me. Sometimes, they even come to the set. I prepare by doing the voiceovers for all the videos at home, and my kids love sitting on my lap while we laugh together. It’s a family affair!”

From 'DWTS' to 'AFV'
Before his gig on AFV, Alfonso made waves as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, where he won the coveted Mirrorball Trophy in 2014. He bonded with his predecessor, Tom Bergeron, during that time, and it’s clear that their friendship has continued to thrive. Alfonso quickly became a fan-favorite, showcasing his charm and talent from the very first week of the competition.
