Grey's Anatomy: B-Team Takes Center Stage With New Interns And Familiar Faces

Grey's Anatomy Web Series Follows New Doctors: Meet the B-Team

Fourteen seasons into Grey's Anatomy, Meredith Grey and Alex Karev have mastered their craft and continue to lead Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. But the newcomers? Well, they're still finding their footing. Dive into the hospital's latest chapter with Grey's Anatomy: B-Team, a fresh web series that gives the spotlight to the newest interns.

Directed by Grey's star Sarah Drew, the six-episode web series focuses on the latest batch of interns navigating the often chaotic world of Grey Sloan Memorial. This includes getting to know DeLuca’s ex, Samantha “Sam” Bello, played by So You Think You Can Dance alum Jeanine Mason. There's also Levi Schmitt, affectionately known as "Glasses," portrayed by Jake Borelli. Rounding out the group are Dahlia Qadri (Sophia Taylor Ali), Casey Parker (Alex Blue Davis), Taryn Helm (Jaicy Elliot), and Vik Roy (Rushi Kota). Each intern brings a unique perspective to the hospital, and the series dives deep into their personal and professional journeys.

Old Dogs, New Tricks: The B-Team Meets the Veterans

While the interns are new to the scene, they'll be working alongside Grey's long-standing characters. Expect to see Miranda Bailey, Alex Karev, Maggie Pierce, Owen Hunt, and Richard Webber, who will no doubt have their hands full mentoring the rookies. The dynamic between the seasoned pros and the eager newcomers is sure to spark some memorable moments. After all, these interns are bound to make mistakes, and the veterans will have plenty to say about it.

Past Spin-Offs: A Look Back

This isn't the first time Grey's Anatomy has ventured into web series territory. Season 6's Grey’s Anatomy: On Call introduced the characters from the Mercy West merger, while Season 7's Grey’s Anatomy: A Message of Hope featured Richard organizing a hospital commercial following a tragic mass shooting. Now, with Grey's Anatomy: B-Team, fans can look forward to a fresh take on the hospital life, showcasing the challenges and triumphs of the newest generation of doctors.

What’s Next for Grey's Anatomy?

B-Team promises to be an entertaining watch, but fans are buzzing about the upcoming Grey’s spin-off: the untitled Seattle firefighter drama set to premiere in March. Dr. Ben Warren, who developed a passion for firefighting after a blaze in Season 13, is moving from Grey’s to the new show. Joining him will be a cast of entirely new characters. In the meantime, Grey’s Anatomy: B-Team debuts on ABC.com and the ABC app on Thursday, Jan. 11, a week before Grey’s Anatomy returns for Season 14 on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 8 p.m. ET.
