In an exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, Pierce opened up about the secrets to their enduring connection, emphasizing the importance of trust and following your heart. "And try to meet the best people in life," he added, clearly counting Keely among those exceptional individuals. When Keely looks at him, Pierce admits, "I go weak." Ex-journalist Keely, now 54, has been instrumental in helping Pierce, 64, navigate the challenges of life. After the tragic loss of his first wife, Cassandra Harris, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 1991 while in his arms, Keely provided the emotional support he needed to heal. Tragedy struck again in 2013 when their daughter, Charlotte Brosnan, succumbed to the same illness at the age of 41. Despite these heartaches, Pierce acknowledges the presence of melancholy in his life. "The dark, melancholy Irish black dog sits beside me from time to time," he shared. Yet, Keely's presence is a constant source of comfort. "She has been a supportive and wonderful addition to his life," an insider told Closer.
