Let me tell you something that really caught my attention earlier this month. The ladies of The Talk decided to walk out onto the CBS stage without a single trace of makeup. And guess what? They looked absolutely stunning. Now, this wasn't the first time for three of the long-time hosts—Sheryl Underwood, Julie Chen, and Sharon Osbourne. Back in 2012, they, along with Aisha Tyler and Sara Gilbert, had already made the bold move to go bare-faced on air. Sharon Osbourne opened up to Entertainment Tonight about how that initial experience gave her the confidence to venture out more often without makeup. She explained, "You sit there, and millions of people are watching you through that camera lens. It's like the genie's out of the bottle. Once you do it, you realize it's not as scary as you thought!"

Breaking New Ground: Eve's First Time Without Makeup
For new host Eve, who recently joined the show as a full-time member, this was a first. She admitted that she had never appeared in public without makeup before. "It became my security blanket," Eve revealed to ET. "I would always put on at least some concealer before stepping outside. I just couldn't imagine going out without anything on." But Eve found comfort in the fact that her fellow hosts had her back. "Having them there made all the difference," she shared. "It gave me the courage to step out and do it with all the ladies. It was such a heartwarming experience."

Why Going Bare-Faced on TV is Terrifying
Julie Chen explained that appearing on TV without makeup is especially nerve-wracking because of how different things look on-screen compared to real life. "You know, people are taking pictures all the time now," she pointed out. "And the camera lens sees things differently than the naked eye. That's why, at one point or another, we were all so nervous about it." She went on to say that once you do it, you realize it's not as bad as you thought. It's like jumping into a cold pool—it's the initial shock that gets you.
