How Did Kellie Martin Join the Remake of Death of a Cheerleader?

Kellie revealed that when the producers approached her about the remake, they offered her carte blanche in choosing her role. “They asked me what part I’d like to play, and I chose the role of an FBI agent, originally written for a man. It’s a little humbling to realize that my early work is now being remade, but I’m thrilled to be part of it,” she said with a chuckle.

What Sparked Kellie's Acting Career as a Child?

Kellie credits her aunt, who worked as a nanny for Michael Landon’s family, for setting her on the path to stardom. “When I was 7, I told Michael’s daughter Shawna that I wanted to be on Little House on the Prairie. She arranged an audition for me with Michael, who, despite the show being canceled, gave me a role on his next project, Father Murphy. That moment changed everything for me,” she reminisced.

Kellie also shared how Patti supported her through some of life’s toughest moments, including her sister’s passing.

Has Kellie Stayed in Touch with Her Life Goes On Castmates?

“Absolutely! I’ve kept in touch with many of them. Chad Lowe recently guest-starred on Hailey Dean, and although I don’t see Chris Burke often—he lives on the East Coast—we’re always in communication. Recently, Chris expressed a desire to return to acting, and I’ve been doing everything I can to help him make that happen,” she explained.
